Firestation Adventure
Well, since Mark was heading off to his mandolin lesson and Angie is slightly less than mobile, "Uncle Peter" took Susanna to the new Allen firestation, where every month several kids who sign up with the city get to:
-Meet real, live firefighters
-See the real, live firefighters' station
-Touch the real, live firefighters' outfits
-Explore the real, live firefighters' fire truck
-Take home a bag full of 911 goodies given by the real, live firefighters
Since Susanna wants to be a fire-fighter when she grows up (Lydia is going to become a train driver), it was a treat for her to go visit the fire station. Here you can see her standing next to the fire pole, which humorously enough is only a decoration piece because the fire-station is a one-story building!
